Manchester City Carlos Tevez has gone on to claim that he never refused to come on for City, when he was asked to warm up and get ready to be brought into the game.
Manchester City travelled to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 to take on Bayern Munich in the Champions League, as they looked to pick up their first win in the tournament.
The game saw City concede two goals to the Germans near the end of the first half, with both those goals coming via poor defending and some brilliant positioning by Mario Gomez.
With some thirty minutes left on the clock, Manchester City manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 turned to Tevez, in order for him to get ready to be brought on. However, it seemed like the player had blatantly told the manager that he did not want to take to the field.
Mancini later went on to reveal that he was taken back and shocked by the way Tevez handled the situation and felt that the Argentine was finished at the club.
Despite almost everyone believing that the striker refused to come on, Tevez feels that he was misunderstood and that there was more to the situation than meets the eye. In fact, Tevez has officially gone on to apologize to the City fans and has stated that
he would never look to do any harm to the team.
Tevez said: "I would like to apologise to all Manchester City fans, with whom I have always had a strong relationship, for any misunderstanding that occurred in Munich.
"They understand that when I am on the pitch I have always given my best for the club.
"In Munich on Tuesday I had warmed up and was ready to play. This is not the right time to get into specific details as to why this did not happen. But I wish to state that I never refused to play.
"There was some confusion on the bench and I believe my position may have been misunderstood.
"Going forward I am ready to play when required and to fulfil my obligations."
Tevez has been on the brink of walking out of City for quite some time now, but so far the player has been forced to stick around at the club. Many now believe that the player has started to act this way so that City sack him and he is open to moving to
a club of his choice.
However, with no real word on the situation, it is going to be a wait to see just how this saga develops in the near future.
