Manchester City’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Mancini needs to provide him with some backing – Premier League Update
Manchester City forward and Argentine goal scoring machine, Carlos Tevez has come forth and finally responded to the comments that Roberto http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 made about his future.
The manager went on to claim that the striker was finished at the Etihad Stadium and that he would soon be on his way out. However, Tevez feels a little cheated in the current scenario and has claimed that the manager needs to provide him with some support,
considering how volatile the situation is.
During Manchester City’s game against Bayern Munich, it appeared like Mancini was asking Tevez to come on in the second half, but the striker seemed to refuse to warm up and be brought onto the pitch. Despite City losing the game by two goals to nil, everyone
was more interested in finding out just what was going on in between the manager and the striker, since some form of a dispute had taken place between the two.
Following the game, Mancini made it clear that Tevez was pretty much done with City and that he might be sacked or booted out from the club in the near future. However, Tevez seems to be playing the dumb card and claims that he is quite happy at the club
and will be looking to do his best for them.
When talking about how he was treated by the manager, Tevez is quoted to have said: "Those are decisions which he makes and I agree with that. It's just I have been professional up until now. I was the top goal scorer last season so I don't think I deserve
this treatment.”
With many suggesting that the player’s behaviour came as a result of him wanting to leave the team. In response to that, Tevez added: "Yes I wanted to leave. I asked to leave because I had family problems but now my family is here and I'm happy, but I don't
have the manager's backing."
Lastly, the striker claimed that he wasn’t feeling too good and as a result, his head wasn’t in the right place during the game. Tevez feels that this reason is good enough to avoid him all the abuse that he is currently receiving from the clubs fans.
"I didn't want to warm up because I wasn't feeling very well so I thought it was better not to," he continued.”
"So I didn't think I was in a good situation to come on because my head wasn't in the right place."
It is a real wonder as to what Tevez has been thinking lately. Nonetheless, what can be said assuredly, is that the striker is more than likely to be on his way out of City in the near future.
