Manchester City’s Edinson Cavani deal hits speed bump – Football news
Manchester City were reportedly on the brink of completing a move for Napoli forward, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Edinson-Cavani-c11955, however, it is now being reported that the move has been put on hold, given the fact that the Italian club are now looking to get a whole lot more money
for the forward’s transfer.
Previously, the deal that was being reported as the most likely one to see the player make the move, was a twenty five million pound one. This move would also see Edin Dzeko make the move to the Italian side as part of a player plus cash offer.
Rafa Benitez, who is now the new manager of Napoli, went on to allow the move to go through. However, the club now want City to increase the amount of cash involved in the deal.
Cavani recently went on to talk about his future, and state that he was not very sure just what would happen. He also talked about Real Madrid, as he stated that it is everyone’s dream to play for the Spanish outfit. This could prove to be just a tactic
to get City to cough up more cash for the transfer.
The Uruguayan international is reported to have said, “Is Napoli my future? Napoli is my today. No one can predict the future. I can only say that today I am happy. As for Real Madrid... kids dream, it is normal. Everyone does it. I found http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 and I am
proud. Then again it's nice to dream, even when you are grown up.”
The player currently has a fifty three million pound release clause in his contract, and this is a figure that seems to be aiding the club in having second thoughts over just how much they want for the player to move.
Dzeko is valued at about fifteen million pounds today by most experts, so the total deal currently sees City offering, forty million for the player. However, should they offer Napoli a figure closer to the thirty million pound mark, while including Dzeko
in the deal, the move could end up taking place within the next few weeks.
Should that happen, it would finally put an end to the question regarding Cavani and his future.
