Manchester City’s Mario Balotelli seeks help from Italy national team coach Cesare Prandelli
Manchester City’s troubled striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mario-Balotelli-c23937 has turned to Italy national team manager Cesare Prandelli for help. Balotelli has asked the Italy coach for advice regarding his problems at Eastlands.
Mario Balotelli arrived at Manchester City from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan in the summer of 2010, carrying with him a reputation of being a bad boy. Indeed, his final months at Inter were marred by disciplinary issues, which helped speed up his exit from the Italian giants.
City manager Roberto Mancini was aware of Balotelli’s problems; however, he still placed his faith in the youngster, bringing him to the Eastlands for a reported fee of around 20 million pounds last summer.
It seems as if http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 is starting to regret his decision. Balotelli has not yet overcome his disciplinary issues, and the striker is still prone to violent outbursts which could cost his side dearly.
The latest incident involving the Italian came in last week’s Europa League round of 16 second leg clash against Dynamo Kiev. Manchester City were looking to overturn a two-goal deficit from the first leg of the tie, but a rush of blood from Balotelli made
an already difficult task that much harder.
The youngster lunged in at Dynamo Kiev’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Goran-Popov-c15165, earning himself a straight red card. Reduced to ten men, the Sky Blues were unable to find a way past the visitors, ultimately resulting in their exit from the Europa League.
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini placed the blame for the loss squarely on Balotelli’s shoulders, chiding him for his ‘stupid’ dismissal. However, it seems that Balotelli is trying hard to overcome his problems. Italian national team manager Cesare
Prandelli has revealed that the striker contacted him, asking for help with his disciplinary problems.
Prandelli said, “I spoke to Balotelli. He realised that he had made a stupid mistake. He told me 'I need help, I always spoil everything'."
Manchester City are currently in fourth place in the Premier League standings. The Sky Blues are almost surely out of contention for the League title, but they will be looking to hold on to a top four finish.
