Manchester City’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 confirms he will sell a few players
Manchester City manager, Roberto Mancini has gone on state that a number of players will be leaving the Etihad Stadium in January.
City players, such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nedum-Onuoha-c27453 are all believed to be heading for the exit door at the club, should suitable buyers be found for the players.
At the same time, Mancini has also hinted that he might bring in a player or two, but only if the current surplus players are parted ways with.
Mancini is quoted to have said: “We need to sell three or four players and with Carlos we could close [a deal] with a club in the next three or four days, and also possibly Wayne. Then maybe we can do something”
“We hope for us and for Carlos we can do a deal. There are two or three teams in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899, and another team involved - I hope for him he can start to play football.
“We could maybe bring someone in, but we need to sell.”
City are set to lose out on both Yaya Toure and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kolo-c21278 Toure to the African Cup of Nations in the near future, which is going to leave a whole in the City squad. Mancini is looking to fill in this void, as he hopes for City to maintain their stance at the
top of the league table, in hopes for his side to pick up the Premier League trophy this season.
Despite Mancini’s claims that City need to invest in a few new players, in order to make up for the departing few, many believe that the team possess ample squad depth to deal with the situation.
City have numerous players who can fill in for the departing duo and the manager should realize that this is a glorious opportunity for a number of the younger players to step up and try and make a name for themselves in the team.
Nonetheless, with Mancini having made up his mind, it is now going to be the manager’s decision to decide what he wants to do with the squad in the near future.
