Manchester City’s Roberto Mancini denies making move for Wayne Rooney
Life at Old Trafford can be hard; especially, when you’re Wayne Rooney. The premier striking talent in England shocked the world yesterday, when he expressed his desire to leave the club that has managed him for the last 6 years. When it comes to the top
stars in the leagues, Rooney doesn’t escape the list in the Barclay’s English Premier League. For what it’s worth there is still speculation on the report and with a long time left till the summer transfer window, there’s no telling whether this inclination
comes to fruition or not.
The speculative gas tank blew sky high when the ‘Daily Mirror’ reported on Rooney’s attempt to move away from Alex Ferguson in a 100,000 pounds deal with home rivals, Manchester City. Manchester United has been doing little to prove themselves as serious
contenders in the league and much of the problems are associated with the team form and the low performance level of Wayne Rooney.
The fiery football star has yet to recuperate from his personal problems, off field. Once admired by the press, the young player has faced a demonized critic forum in the last several days for his exposed s*x scandal debacle. The incident has created a vex
between the squad and the player and many speculators assess the situation as a breeding ground for a signal to the English International for moving out of the side that has been his home for more than half a decade. Rooney moved to United in 2004 from Everton
and it seems like a new change will take place soon as the club will oblige with his desire to part ways.
Roberto Mancini was quick to respond to the reports and has now affirmed Manchester City’s role of not taking any action with the recent news development. The Italian gaffer believes the player will not move, but stay and sign an extended contract in the
coming weeks. He also mentioned that his focus was mainly on his squad and that task alone required great attention.
The City manager added, “Rooney is a great player, but I think he'll stay at United. He is a strong player like Fernando Torres, like Lionel Messi, like Carlos Tevez, like Mario Balotelli. This is my opinion."
