Manchester City’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adam-Johnson-c3537 criticism – Premier League Update
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini seems to be standing firm over his criticism about Adam Johnson, despite the player putting in some brilliant performances in his last few games.
The forward apparently went on to refuse travelling with the team, after the manager hit out towards him. Mancini seemed to be infuriated with the player’s performance in the game against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wolves-c40952 in the Carling Cup, despite City winning by five goals to two.
In the game, Johnson went on to score a goal and helped create another.
This past Saturday, City played Wolves once again, only in the Premier League this time around. Once again, the player went on to score a brilliant goal, which helped decide the outcome of the game.
However, instead of taking his words back, the manager now believes that his criticism of Johnson has actually helped him develop as a player and has helped boost his performances in recent weeks.
When talking about his rather harsh treatment with Johnson, the manager went on to explain himself as he stated: "I am happy he is upset"

"I love Adam. It is like with the children in your family. If you love your children, then sometimes you should be hard with them and Adam understands this.

“I say what I want because, if he were not a good player, then I wouldn't waste my time on him.

“But because he has everything, I don't want him stopping at this level. I want him up a level and then a level more.”
The manager then admitted that Johnson had the attributes needed to become one of the best in the world and that it was only a matter of time, before the forward started putting in brilliant performances consistently.

"He has some characteristics that are different from other players and because of this he could become one of the top wingers in the game,” he added.
Johnson has gone on to prove his worth, ever since he joined Manchester City from Middlesbrough. When City signed the player, no one expected him to be half as good as he is today, in fact he was being regarded as a failure early on.
Despite that fact, the player has gone on to maintain his growth and is now easily one of the best in the world.
As for Mancini, it seems like the manager wants the player to peak in all areas on the pitch, which is why he is looking to help the player get angry, in order for him to improve even further.
