Manchester City’s Samir Nasri admits Arsene Wenger’s advice helped him guide France to victory
Manchester City midfielder and French international, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360 has gone on to reveal that it was Arsene Wenger who helped France clinch their spot in the Euro 2012.
The player has admitted that the words his former manager told him, helped him score the penalty against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bosnia-and-Herzegovina-c2856. The goal scored by the midfielder saw France come back in the game, after being down by one goal and in doing so, ensured an
automatic qualification into the Euro 2012.
Following the game, the midfielder went on to admit that he has thought about what Arsene Wenger once told him at Arsenal and that helped him convert the spot kick and help his team pick up a draw.
Nasri, when talking about the goal and the wise words that Wenger once told him, is reported to have said: “I thought of Arsene Wenger's words when I picked up the ball”
“He told me last season: 'You can take revenge in person if someone fouls you'.

“Some people say you should not take a penalty if you are the player who has been brought down. But he said that's bulls***”

“And it worked perfectly for me.”
The midfielder then went on to admit that the pressure on his shoulders was immense during the build up to the kick and when he converted from the spot, he felt like the happiest man in the world.
Nasri then continued and admitted, if http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 were to go into the play-offs, then their chances of qualification to the next round would have been quite hard.
Nasri went on to make his move away from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, as he joined Manchester City in the summer transfer window. The player was initially believed to put pen to paper on a new deal with the Gunners last January, but with the North London team not really winning
any major trophies over the last six years, the player changed his mind.
As a result, he decided to walk out of the Emirates and join City instead. Since his move to the Etihad Stadium, the midfielder has been in fine form. He has been scoring goals for fun and manages to pick up an assist or two in every game.
It seems like Nasri might finally be able to full fill his true potential, as he helps City make their way to their second silverware in two seasons.
Nonetheless, what can be said assuredly is that Wenger’s words have had a permanent impact on the player and his mentality.
