Manchester City’s Yaya Toure admits that scoring winning goal in FA Cup final was greatest moment of career

Manchester City midfielder, Yaya Toure has gone on to admit that scoring the match winning goal in the finals of the FA Cup last season, was the highlight of his career.
Going into the game against Stoke City, City were on a trophy drought, which exceeded thirty years. The last time the team had won any silverware, was way back in 1976. Nonetheless, via Toure’s goal, all of that changed, as City went on to lift the FA Cup.

Toure is quoted to have said: “I think our team bond developed during last season and we were strong at the end. We can continue this next season hopefully.
"Although I scored the winning goals in the semi-final and final, both of those victories were down to us being a strong team."
Toure, then went on to add that scoring the goal was the best moment of his life and that it just helped him make history at the club, which had been his goal all along.
“Scoring those goals at Wembley was amazing - the cup final goal was the best moment of my career.
"I came here to make history and I did that."
Toure also went on to reflect over City’s brilliant finish to the season, as the team finished in the top four and also took home a trophy for all their efforts.
Toure added: "Not only did we finish in the top four by a big margin but we won a trophy.”
The goal against Stoke, was probably not the best that the world has seen, but to City fans, it is the goal that will live on forever. The goal helped changed the team’s status as being underachievers and gave them the foundation, with which to build on
for the coming terms.
