Manchester United's Michael Carrick backs Anderson to shine
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Carrick-c25282 has come out and backed his midfield partner, Anderson to shine in the Manchester United shirt. Anderson has seen a recent surge in form as he scored in United’s last UEFA Champions League match against Valencia. It was the Brazilian midfielder’s
second goal of his career with the Red Devils.
At the weekend, Anderson started for Manchester United against Sunderland and almost got his third goal but he was denied by the goal post at the Old Trafford stadium. Anderson was criticized last season for his lack of ambition and energy but this season,
the ex-Porto player has lit Old Trafford alight with his passionate performances.
Manchester United fans will be hoping that Anderson’s form continues as United are scheduled to play several English Premier League games in the upcoming weeks. In February of 2011, Manchester United are set to take part in the round of sixteen of the UEFA
Champions League.
Anderson was recently backed up by Carrick. The English midfielder spoke in a light mood to the press as he explained Anderson’s goal scoring exploits and the inside jokes that run through the club about the midfielder’s goal scoring record for the Red Devils.
Carrick also spoke about Anderson’s recent goal against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 as he said, "Hopefully there are more to come. He (Anderson) has not really mentioned it much. Maybe he is waiting until he has scored a few more. Then we won't be able to shut him up.”
He added, "Ando is just full of life. He bounces around the place. He has been out for long periods but he has come back with a real spring in his step. He is young and his best days are still ahead of him." The Red Devils are currently at the top of the
English Premier League table as they defeated Sunderland by two goals to nil in their last league matchup.
However, United are set to part ways with Park Ji Sung as he is scheduled to fly out to participate in South Korea’s Asian Cup campaign. The Korean winger will return back in February. United will also be hoping that their stalwart midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-Scholes-c29394
returns from a thigh injury as soon as possible so that they can rotate the likes of Carrick and Anderson on a regular basis. Amidst all this injury news, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ryan-Giggs-c31985 has come out and played down any complacency in the Manchester United.
The veteran winger said, "You are obviously wary because of the way the league has been this year. Anyone can beat anyone. We are thankful we remain unbeaten and confidence is high. But we realize that nothing can be taken for granted. It is a tough league
and we need to be at our best in every game."
