Manchester United's Michael Carrick delighted with his contributions against QPR
Manchester United midfielder, Michael Carrick has gone on to admit that he is highly delighted with the goal that he scored against QPR and feels that he should find the back of the net more often.
The goal scored by the midfielder came in the second half and went on to ensure a victory for the Red Devils in the game.

However, with it seeming like QPR might be able to get back in the game, Carrick went on to find the back of the net, as he ensured victory for his side.
The midfielder picked up a loose pass from Joey Barton and went on to run at goal. He then decided to side foot the ball, as he smacked the ball low into the back of the net.
The goal scored by Carrick was the first one that he scored since December 2009 and it seems to have spurred the player on. He is now looking to take his chances and try and scored many more goals in the future.
When talking about the goal, Carrick is quoted to have said: "It just seemed to open up for me and I kept on going and going and thought: 'Why not?'. It was great to see it go in”
The player then admitted that United had their fair share of chances in the game, but it seemed like no one was looking forward to taking them. However, he was more than happy that his effort ended up landing in the back of the net.
"We had so many chances in the game, so many opportunities to get a shot on target."
"I was starting to wonder if it was going to be one of those days. So I was delighted to see it go in, even if the run seemed to take forever."
