Manchester United's Patrice Evra wary of Arsenal: EPL News
Manchester United's left-back Patrice Evra has sent a warning to his team-mates that they should not take Arsenal lightly as the Gunners are like a ‘wounded animal’ after being crashed out of the Barclays Premier League title race.
Manchester United will lock horns with Arsenal at Emirates on May 1, a match which is billed as a title decider before the Gunners’ lost to Bolton Wanderers last weekend and ended their title hopes.
Arsenal, who were strong favourites to end their six year trophy drought in the ongoing 2010-11 season, failed to churn out positive results in the last weeks. The Gunners failed to perform in the most important week of this season as they only managed to
get two points against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809, Tottenham Hotspur and Bolton Wanderers.
Arsene Wenger’s men are now nine points behind League leaders Manchester United with only four matches to go in this season and are virtually out of the title race. However, Patrice Evra believes that Gunners could try to get positive result in order to
prove their worth in the Barclays Premier League.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrice-Evra-c29231 told the reporters, “You have to fear the wounded animal. It is all or nothing for Arsenal so that is a danger. They will want to show they can still win the title.”
Arsenal have only won once against Manchester United in last 11 meetings in all competitions and United have only lost twice away at Arsenal in last eight league matches. The statistics are definitely in Manchester United’s favour, but Evra thinks that statistics
can change very quickly.
Evra added, “We have a good record at Arsenal but statistics can change so quickly. Everyone used to say how Arsenal kept losing to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and then they beat them. We kept losing at Stamford Bridge but won there in the Champions League. Our record at the
Emirates will hurt them and they will want to do something about it.”
A win for Manchester United against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on May 1 would put them one step closer to wining the record 19th Barclays Premier League title.
