Manchester United's striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dimitar-Berbatov-c11254 will return against Arsenal, confirms Sir Alex Ferguson
Manchester United's tactician Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that the Bulgarian international, Dimitar Berbatov, will make his return against Arsenal on Sunday after being away from the field
action for the last three games. The striker has not featured for the Red Devils since their demoralising FA Cup semi-final defeat against Manchester City on April 16. Berbatov picked up a slight groin strain injury in that defeat against the Blues.
The Red Devils' manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, while confirming the news of Berbatov comeback said “Berbatov is fit again, he’s trained all week. He had a slight groin strain, missed the last
few games, but he’s available."
There is no reason why Manchester United is not over the moon to see Berbatov's return, as he is currently leading the English Premier League's top goal-scorers list at 21 goals.
The 30-year-old, Berbatov’s inclusion will be a huge booster for United as they have some really important clashes coming up in the next few weeks time. On May 1, they will travel to the
Emirates Stadium to take on Arsenal, after which they will be playing the all-important second-leg UEFA Champions League semi-final encounter against Schalke 04 on Wednesday followed by a match with their bitter rivals, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 on May 8.
In addition to Berbatov, Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that their striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Darren-Fletcher-c10361 could also make a return. He said “Darren Fletcher played 45 minutes [against Arsenal reserves
on Thursday evening] and he’s come through it fine. I’ll possibly include him in Wednesday’s game [against Schalke], maybe get 45 minutes out of him. It’s a great addition this time of year having missed him for a couple of months.”
For the time being, it seems like there is no force that can stop the flowing United to win their 19th English Premier League silverware. The Red Devils are on their way to surpass
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809, who have already registered 18 Premier League titles in the history. Manchester United currently sits on the top of the Premier League table with 73 points, having a convincing six and nine point’s advantage over Chelsea and Arsenal, respectively.
Arsenal’s manager, Wenger, believes it would be a perfect ending to this season if they need to beat Blackpool in their final match at home, as he said “I'd be happy if we could get to the
last day of the season needing to beat Blackpool at home to win the league. I'd be happy with that.”
Manchester United have gone strength-to-strength as they have now surplus of forwards available in their squad. They have many attacking options available in the shape of in-form http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wayne-Rooney-c36736,
the ever brilliant Javier Hernandez and now the returns of Berbatov and Fletcher will strengthen their troop.
