Manchester United's summer targets – Barclays Premier League news
Manchester United is currently in search of a new goalkeeper as Edwin van Der Sar will bid the club farewell after the Champions League final against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 on 28th of May. United had been eyeing a number of young goalkeepers around Europe,
and one of their biggest targets was Atletico Madrid shot stopper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-de-Gea-c10463. Reports in Spanish media suggest that Red Devils are closing in on the Spaniard and may announce the signing as soon as next week.
Edwin Van der Sar had recommended http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Maarten-Stekelenburg-c22998 as his replacement. The Ajax man is now in fact being linked with a move to Atletico Madrid for a replacement for De Gea.
No official word has yet been released from either club, but Spanish media claims that the deal may be worth 21 million Euros with additional add-ons to follow. The 20-year-old Spanish goalkeeper had earlier made it clear that he was looking to make a move
after the season is over, and now it does look likely that he will be heading to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749.
Sir Alex Ferguson is also believed to be interested in getting his hands on an attacking midfielder. Interestingly, the man linked with a move to Old Trafford is http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360 the midfielder at Arsenal. The Frenchman has a year left on his current contract
at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, and reports from French media suggest that United have shown immense interest in the French international. And despite Nasri being a fan of Arsene Wenger and Arsenal he is frustrated by lack of trophies at Gunners and is looking to go to a club
which will enable him to go for silverware. Arsenal ended their sixth consecutive trophy-less season and various players including Nasri are expected to make their way in the summers.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-Scholes-c29394, the legendary midfielder at Manchester United, has not yet agreed to sign on for another season at Old Trafford, and his exit will leave a big hole in the midfield. United are looking to make sure that they keep an eye on more than one options,
and apart from Nasri, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luka-Modric-c22857 from Tottenham and Wesley Sneijder are also on the radar of Manchester United.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan team under Jose Mourinho that won Seria-A, Italian Cup and Champions League
in 2010. However, Inter’s post Mourinho era has not been that great and they just ended a trophy-less season and Sneijder is expected to part company with the club. This may be the best time for United to make their move, and Ferguson my go in with a big bid
as soon as the transfer window opens.
