Manchester United Chief Executive confirms the Premier League giants have found replacement for Edwin van der Sar
David Gill, the Manchester United Chief Executive, revealed the English Premier League giants had found a replacement for first choice goal keeper Edwin van der Sar.
The former Dutch international is set to retire at the end of this campaign, leaving the Red Devils without a suitable replacement in goal.

It seems Manchester United’s search for a new first team keeper has ended, according to David Gill the English Premier League champions have found their man.
Gill claimed that the club had found a suitable replacement for Van der Sar, who would be taking over next season.
Gill said while speaking to reporters, “We know the keeper we want. We are in a good situation with that and it will progress at the end of the season. It is not as though it is a surprise that Edwin is retiring.”
The Manchester Chief Executive did not mention the stopper who would be arriving at Old Trafford, but reports suggest that it was http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409, the Atletico Madrid keeper.
He continued, “We have been associated with all the top goalkeepers in Europe for the last six to 12 months. We have made the decision and I am sure we can get the deal done.”
Gill wanted to keep the details under wraps until an official deal between the two sides could be finalized, before the keeper arrived to replace the Manchester United veteran stopper.
Van der Sar arrived at Old Trafford in the 2005 season for an estimated fee of £2 million from Premier League side Fulham.
After six years at the club, aged 40, the goal keeper is finally ready to retire. He has made some 264 appearances for Manchester United in all competitions.
He has gone on to win four English Premier League titles with the Red Devils, three FA Cup competitions and one of the Carling Cup, Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup.
Van der Sar’s reported replacement is 20 years his junior and made his senior debut for Atletico Madrid just two seasons ago.
