Manchester United Striker Danny Welbeck is unsure of his future: English Premier League news
Manchester United striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danny-Welbeck-c10233, who is enjoying a loan spell at Sunderland since the start of the ongoing 2010-11 season says that he has enjoyed his loan spell at the Stadium of Light. However, the striker is still uncertain what the future holds
for him.
The player said while talking to the reporters, “I am generally happy with what has happened this season and I thank Steve Bruce for that. I have not thought about what is happening at the end of the season or heard about it. I am going to play the rest
of this season then, come the end of May, I will start to decide.”
“I have benefited from playing every week at Sunderland. You could see the benefits of playing another year on loan, but there are also negatives as well. I'll see what happens. I've not really been thinking about it. I had a chat with Sir Alex when I went
back there for treatment [on a recent hamstring injury],” added Welbeck.
The Manchester born striker has enjoyed a productive season with the Black Cats and has been a dominant figure in Steve Bruce’s side this campaign.
Steve Bruce wants to sign the striker on permanent basis and will test Manchester United’s resolve by putting a 10 million pounds offer on the table. It is highly unlikely that any deal will go through, as Sir Alex Ferguson rates Welbeck as an important
player in his future plans. However, it is quite possible that United can loan him out for another season for the 2011-12 campaign.
Welbeck is happy with his progress with Sunderland this season. Although he is unsure of his future, the player feels that whatever happens, he is happy with it.
The 20-year-old returned from injury last week against Arsenal and is looking forward for the game against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 on Sunday.
For the Black Cats this season, Welbeck has played 23 games and has scored 6 goals so far. His performance against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 in November last year was influential in Sunderland’s 3-0 win at the Stamford Bridge.
