England's problem is just that the superstars at club level aren't able to play together selflessly with enough dedication to the cause. And they don't have a coach who can understand the feelings of the nation and make the players do that.

Which is why I support Germany. Players like Podolski and Schweinsteiger score more goals for Germany in a single tournament than they do throughout a league season. Very close-knit team, with each player ready to die for the cause. Podolski scored one goal in 30 games for Bayern before scoring 3 in 6 games at EURO 2008.

Slaven Bilic coaches Croatia for a pittance out of love for his country and the sport. Same with Fatih Terim's Turkey. No fancy overpaid stars there either, but a team ready to put down their lives for each other. They almost got the better of Germany starting the game with only three substitute outfield players on the bench.

Where, I ask, will you find that spirit, that drive in the English team? Will Fabio Capello, like Bilic, ignore the overtures of money to coach simply for the love of the sport or country? Do you get the feeling that the English players are ready to die for the cause when they play?

its the truth, nearly every EPL team is better than the english national side.

its true in most of the cases, not only in england. i think its because, clubs promise money, fame and future to the players but national side often fail to give players neither fame or future.

and Man U is the best club in the world, but england is not the best team in the world. so, don't u think it  doesn't quite fit?
