Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson certain Manchester City will keep striker Carlos Tevez

Sir Alex Ferguson predicts City will keep Tevez
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson said he believed that local rivals Manchester City would not let Argentine striker Carlos Tevez leave the club even though the 27-year-old has made it perfectly clear he wishes to leave.
Earlier this season, Tevez was determined to leave and went as far as handing in a transfer request but City manager Roberto http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 patched things up and convinced him to stay. Despite the relatively peaceful time at the Eastlands, Tevez is still eager
to leave for a fresh challenge.
However, the Manchester United boss is confident the Italian manager Mancini would find a way to convince Tevez to stay. The Scotsman believes the striker is far too valuable for City in their quest to establish themselves in the top four of the English
Premier League to let him leave this summer, which is fast approaching.
Ferguson said while speaking to reporters, “Knowing the background, the people who represent him, I'm not surprised, but I don't think Manchester City would want to let him go. He's had a great time there; he's been their top goal scorer, their best player
in the last two years, so why would they want to sell him?”
Tevez joined Manchester United in extremely controversial circumstances and did was not as big a hit as he was expected to be. In his two seasons at the club he made 99 appearances and scored a total of 34 goals for the Red Devils.
He was offered a five year contract which he turned down and made a move to Manchester City; he has had a successful spell at the club so far. In the same number of seasons, with the latter half of the season remaining he has scored 50 goals already.
