Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson says Javier Hernandez should be handled with care – EPL news
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is handling Mexican striker Javier Hernandez with special care in order keep the talented youngster fresh and injury-free in his debut Premier League season.
Hernandez has been mostly used as a substitute by the United boss which has proven to be a wise decision.
Hernandez agreed a deal to join the Red Devils on 8 April, 2010 from Mexican club Chivas and the talent of the 22-year-old enabled him to represent his country in the FIFA 2010 World Cup.
Hernandez is a regular for his international side and in a recent 3-0 victory for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paraguay-c2979, the striker scored a brace.
Sir Alex Ferguson said, “We are just keeping an eye on him because he played in the World Cup last year and this is his first season in the Premier League. Javier has had a fantastic season, We are trying to keep him as fresh as we possibly can for the important
games we have coming up. He is a marvelous player, He is a great trainer. He is a good type. His attitude is fantastic. He is a really outstanding boy.”
Premier League is considered one of the most competitive football leagues in the world and normally new players take time to adjust to its physical playing style. Hernandez however has turned some heads with his quick adaptability to the English game as
he has been in sensational form for the Red Devils in his debut season. The Mexican has bagged 16 goals in all competitions so far in the ongoing 2010-11 season.
Hernandez has scored some crucial goals for his side while coming on as a substitute and has earned himself the title of ‘Super sub.’ The Mexican is also being compared to former United player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as he was also highly successful for the
Red Devils coming on as substitute and making an impact.
As United are in pursuit of landing the Premier League title, UEFA Champions League and the FA cup trophies at Old Trafford, manager Ferguson is adamant that Hernandez is a key player.
If the striker can keep himself injury free, he can play a pivotal role in the season run-in.
