Manchester United centre back has issued a warning to Arsenal that the Red Devils never lose three consecutive games ahead of their clash with the Gunners in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup on Saturday.
He said, “When have you ever heard that United lost three games in a week? It doesn’t happen. It’s not happened since I have been at the club, and I’m sure a long time before I was there it hadn’t happened, so you don’t want to be part of a team that does
that.”
Two consecutive defeats against Chelsea and Liverpool have halted United’s title challenge. However, the 18-time champions are still on top of the League table with a three-point cushion over the Gunners.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 recently. The Gunners slipped out of their second tournament in space of two weeks, as they recently lost to Birmingham City in the Carling Cup final on 27 February, 2011.
Both teams will be looking to pounce on the opportunity, as the winner of this match would be the clear favourite to lift the FA Cup as Chelsea and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 have already been knocked out of the competition.
Ferdinand also believes that a win or a loss in the game would have no impact in deciding the Premier League title race.
He added, “This game won’t have any bearing on where the title goes this season. We have got too much experience in our squad. They have now got a fair amount of experience in their squad, if one of us loses this game I don’t think it will determine where
the title will go.”
Ferdinand believes that his side should go out in attacking mode as they hold home advantage. The former Leeds United defender is disappointed to miss out on the fixture due to a calf injury but he believes that United have great bench strength to fill his
void.
