Manchester United considering making a move for Luka Modric
It is being reported that Manchester United are currently weighing up their options, as the team is looking to make a move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luka-Modric-c22857.
United have been in the hunt for a midfielder for a couple of months and it seems like they might have finally narrowed down their scope to the Tottenham midfielder.
Modric went on to hand in a transfer request in the summers and since then, his future has been in doubt at the White Hart Lane.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 were reported to be on the brink of landing the player, but Tottenham went on to reject the team’s ridiculous offers for the midfielder.
Nonetheless, United haven’t been disheartened by Tottenham’s attitude towards Chelsea and feel that they could easily convince the team to part ways with the Croatian international.
United are also looking to make this offer seem a whole lot more compelling to Modric, as they look to offer the player a massive salary in excess of a hundred thousand pounds.
At the same time, Modric has been reluctant to try and agree to the terms that Tottenham have placed on the table for the midfielder.
As a result, it seems like the twenty six year old is going to have some time on his hands to decide just what he wants to do with his future.
Over the course of the last couple of months, United’s lack of quality midfielders has been rather apparent. The team went on to crash out of the Champions League and even lost out in the Carling Cup.
Many critics and experts from across the globe have started to point their finger at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson and have blamed the manager’s rigidness to be the reason for these defeats.
Nonetheless, should the rumours be anything to go by, the Red Devils could be in the hunt to bring in one big name signing in the January transfer window and with their midfield being their weakest aspect at the moment, they might just go on and sign Modric.
However, Ferguson is more than likely to have a back-up plan, should he fail to acquire Modric.
