Manchester United considering offloading http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dimitar-Berbatov-c11254 to Bayern Munich
In a dramatic turn of events, it seems like Manchester United might be considering to let go of their Bulgarian forward, Dimitar Berbatov. The striker, despite having put in a number of good performances this season, has found himself warming the benches
at Old Trafford time and time again. As a result, the player has often been unhappy at the club, suggesting he wants to do much more.
At the moment, Bayern Munich seem to have caught a hint of the player’s situation at the club and are now going to test Berbatov and United’s resolve by making a bid for the forward. The German team are reportedly looking to make a bid worth around 22-million
pounds for the forward and will be hoping it is enough to land their man.
Berbatov has already proven that he would do rather well in the German league, as prior to his move to Tottenham in 2006, he was playing with Bayer Leverkusen, for whom he found the back of the net 91 times. However, at the same time, the fact that the team
are looking to land Berbatov can only mean that Mario Gomez is potentially on his way out of the Allianz Arena. With interests from the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 and Tottenham already existing, it seems to be the only rational way to look at this transfer mix-up.
United seem to have found a hidden gem in the form of Javier Hernandez, who along with Rooney is putting in more than brilliant performances at the club. The duo’s form is also one of the reasons that Berbatov has been sulking on the benches at Old Trafford
for so long. The Red Devils are also set to welcome back http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Federico-Macheda-c13475 to the club at the end of the season, which means that Berbatov’s future at the club looks rather bleak.
It was previously reported that Ferguson did not want to get rid of Berbatov, only for the fact that he spent around 30-million pounds to land him in the first place. However, the fact that the manager is bound to get most of that fee back if he manages
to haggle a deal with Munich means that it might be the smarter thing to let the player go.
According to most experts, if Munich are to officially launch such an audacious bid for the forward, then they are more than likely to land him at the end of the season. Hence, it is now going to be a wait to see what card Munich throw in United’s direction,
next.
