Manchester United defender Partice Evra pens a new deal with the Red Devils
Manchester United's left-back and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international, Partice Evra has gone on to extend his stay at Manchester United and Old Trafford by putting pen to paper on a new deal, which will see the player be a Red Devil until 2014.
As it stands, that probably means that the 29-year-old will now retire at Old Trafford, considering the fact that he would be in his thirties once his current contract runs out.
However, Evra didn't seem to hesitate while extending his stay and if anything, the player was rather ecstatic.
Evra is reported to have said, "Ever since I arrived at United, it's been a dream come true playing here"
"The fans, the players, the manager and the staff all work hard to make this club the best in the world.
"I've won a lot in the last five years, but I want to win more and I know that's the mentality of everyone here."
The full-back has managed to win three Premier League crowns, three league cups and a Champions League with United, but hopes to add to that illustrious record over the course of the coming years.
Alex Ferguson also went on to highlight the importance that Evra now has in the side and also stated that the Frenchman was still quite easily one of the best left-backs in the world at the moment.
"Patrice has developed into a key character in the dressing room," said the United manager. "It's great that he's committed himself to Manchester United. His experience and talent will be increasingly important to us."
With Evra now set to be a part of the coming campaigns for United, what can safely be said is that their left flank is going to one of the best in the world, with the likes of Luis http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nani-c27299 and Evra both playing on the same side.
On the other hand, with Evra having extended his stay, it now means that the likes of Fabio Coentrao and Jose Enrique could start looking for other options, since despite the two of them being rather good, they are no match for the seasoned
and highly experienced Left-back.
