Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson has come out and said that Manchester United were thought to be out of the title race but now they are leading the Premier League with a five point advantage over Manchester City and that deserves from credit
from their critics...
The Red Devils manager has revealed that two months ago, no one was giving the red half of Manchester a fair chance to win the Premier League and retain their title trophy. However now things have changed, with Manchester City’s
wayward form of late and United’s ruthless streak in the Premier League, Sir Alex’s men are at the top of the league table.
The defending champions had an eight point advantage over City last weekend but that has changed now since they failed to win against Wigan in their mid-week league tie. Nonetheless, United are still in cruise control of the title
race as they have a five point advantage in points. Not only that, City and United are set to take on each other at the end of April in the Manchester derby, a match that might decide the course of the league title.
Sir Alex said, "Two months back, nobody would have thought for a minute that we could be in this position. What we have done is a great achievement. We have done remarkably well. I think we should get great credit for [turning
the season around] the way we have, and to get to this point, it’s really a tremendous http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 the lads have done.”
He added, "We are in good form - taking away the Wednesday game, I think we didn't play well - our form has been consistently good and that consistency hopefully gets us the title. It’s been an unusual season for English teams,
over the last decade they have all done particularly well, getting to semi-finals, finals. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 have all been in finals."
He also stated, "It’s remarkable that some country has done that in Europe, to get four teams in Europe over the last decade and repeatedly in the semi-finals - Chelsea have done it this year again. So it’s been an unusual season,
hopefully a one-off and English teams [will] do much better next year."
