Ryan Giggs, a true Red Devil has signed a new deal. This deal will keep him with the club of his choice for another year. The veteran has played 20 successful seasons with Manchester United and as the season approaches its crescendo, Giggs is expected to
play a key role in their success. Although his beard has started to grey, but still his game and untiring effort are benchmarks for others in the business.
Giggs said he labelled himself lucky to have been able to play for his favourite team and that too, for 20 long years. He added that he got satisfaction when he contributed to the success of his club. The Welshman said he was excited to be part of the team
and enjoyed playing along with the young team members. The midfielder’s recent top contribution was against the arch rivals Manchester City. In that derby game, Giggs played a trademark pass that set up Luis Nani for the opening goal in the first half.

The mercurial midfielder has played 862 games for Manchester United in different competitions. In the EPL, he has played 605 games and has scored 110 goals. His most successful EPL season was early in his career in 1993-1994 when he played 38 games and scored
13 goals. At the twilight of his career he has performed really well throughout the season of 2008-2009 and has won the Professional Footballers’ Association Player of the Year Award for his services. In the year of 2009, he was declared BBC Sports’ Personality
of the Year. He also won this title earlier in 1996.
