Manchester United’s goalkeeper, Edwin van der Sar, wants United to bounce back against Newcastle United.

Manchester United’s veteran goalkeeper, Edwin van der Sar, is confident that his team has the ability to pick themselves for the tricky trip to Newcastle United on Tuesday, despite suffering a close defeat against their local rivals, Manchester City, in
the semifinal of the FA Cup.
Manchester United’s hopes of emulating the 1999 treble season were crushed when the Red Devils crashed out of the FA Cup against Manchester City.
Yaya Toure’s second half strike proved to be the only goal of the Manchester derby which was played at Wembley.
Van der Sar insisted that the Red Devils were not at their best and stated that the fatigue was the main problem in the semifinal defeat against City.
Van der Sar now wants an immediate response from his teammates and has asked them to maintain their unbeaten streak of 10 years against Newcastle United at St. James Park.
The Dutch keeper told reporters, “It won't be difficult to pick ourselves up. We know how important the league is. We are in first position, so we just have to make the best of it. We have played a big number of games in the last three or four weeks and
against Newcastle we must do better”.

Arsenal’s latest draw against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 has put them six points adrift of Manchester United and the Red Devils now need only four wins out of their six remaining fixtures to claim a record 19th title.
Van der Sar expressed his contentment over United’s consistency in the second half of the season and claimed that his team has the quality to lift themselves up from the demoralising defeat.

Van der Sar added, “It is always nicer when you find form straight away. We were a bit scrappy in the first half of the season. It shows the strength of character and the belief this manager has in the quality of his team that we were able to come through those
moments".
