Manchester United keen to sign Christian Fuchs, as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniele-De-Rossi-c10112 looks to move away from Roma
Manchester United have been all over the transfer market lately, looking at future prospects from all over the globe. Not completely out of the blue then, is the fact that United are showing keen interest in Schalke’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christian-Fuchs-c9078 as a replacement for
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrice-Evra-c29231.
The 25-year-old defender plays a game similar to that of Evra’s attacking sweeping style; a fast winging player, with enthralling defending abilities. The defender is valued at £11 million, which is mainly due to the fact that he only just joined Schalke
a few months ago, and will command a higher transfer fee.
Even though Evra has some time ahead of him, Sir Alex Ferguson is looking to better the squad that has already won 19 Premier League titles and is looking to win their 20th. With Vidic and Smalling not getting enough pitch time, another defender
could only come in handy.
Juventus, Malaga and Parma are also interested in the Austrian, but it seems unlikely that any would sign the defender in place of United if the Red Devils do decide to go ahead with a bid.
Sir Alex would be sending scouts to observe the defender on Saturday, when Schalke face Dortmund.
At the same time, United are also looking to grab a hold of De Rossi, whose inability to reach an agreement with AS Roma over a new contract leaves him free to talk to other clubs from January.
The Italian has scored a club career total of 44 goals in more than 360 appearances, and is more of a playmaker than a goalscorer, and would easily melt into the Devils’ swift movement.
Roma have previously rejected a bid for De Rossi amounting to about £60 million from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, but De Rossi has been growing older and it is now thought that a fee of around
£25 million should be enough to lure the midfielder away from Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
The 28-year-old still has an adequate number of years in him and will prove to be a bargain at such a low price.
