Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra wary of Arsenal threat - EPL news
Manchester United defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, as the two sides are set to clash in an English Premier League match at the Emirates stadium, on May 1, 2011.
The Gunners title hopes are fading fast after they were beaten by Bolton Wanderers in their last fixture. The defeat means that Arsene Wenger’s side is nine points behind league leaders, Manchester United, with only four games remaining in the season.
Arsenal has not been able to collect the silverware for six consecutive years and the Gunners are in danger of finishing yet another season empty-handed. The ongoing 2010-11 campaign did promise at one stage, as the Gunners were in contention to win four
trophies, but a dismal spell saw them crash out of the UEFA Champions league and the FA Cup. Furthermore, they were defeated by Birmingham City in the Carling Cup final.
Due to their inability to win titles, Arsenal have been criticised heavily by football media.
Evra believes that negative publicity will ensure their hosts come out firing and they would make it difficult for the Red Devils to collect maximum points.
He said, "You have to fear the wounded animal. It is all or nothing for Arsenal so that is a danger. They will want to show they can still win the title. We have a good record at Arsenal but statistics can change so quickly. Our record at the Emirates will
hurt them and they will want to do something about it."
On the other hand, the Red Devils are looking set to bring the Premier League title to Old Trafford. They are also eyeing a Champions League final spot, after their 2-0 away victory over German team Schalke 04, in the first leg of a two legged semi-final.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 seem to be in the best position to challenge the Red Devils for the Premier League crown and the Blues would be looking to beat fellow Londoners, Tottenham Hotspur, in their next fixture.
With the season approaching its' business end, the title race is looking set for a thrilling finish.
