Manchester United looking to build team by making moves for Jack Rodwell and Jordan Henderson
The fact that Alex Ferguson is looking to invest in a couple of young players in order to build the United squad for the future is no secret. The manager has made his intentions to secure the services of players who can stay at the club for around eight
to ten seasons pretty clear and at the same time, it appears as though he might have short listed two players to sign. At the moment, Sunderland midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jack-Rodwell-c17462 are on the hit list.
Steve Bruce, the manager at Sunderland went on to state that Henderson would be allowed to leave, if an offer of around twenty million pounds was made for him, while David Moyes the manager at Everton stated that Rodwell was not for sale.
However, with Ferguson looking to offer a player or two as part of a swap deal might just help the managers lower the price on the players or even re-consider about them not being available for sale.
At the moment, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danny-Welbeck-c10233 and Thomas Cleverly are two United players who are away on loan and are expected to return to the side at the end of the season. However, Ferguson might see this opportunity to use the duo as bait, to land Henderson and Cleverly.
Ferguson has previously gone on to state that he would someday like to see both the players back at the club, but that doesn’t mean that their return needs to be immediate. If Ferguson can offer the two players as part of a loan, while trying to secure the
services of Henderson or Rodwell, then it might just help slide the cards in favour of the Red Devils.
It is given that Henderson is available for sale, if the price is right, the only problem that United are bound to face, is if and when they make an attempt to land Rodwell. Moyes has shown in the past that he is a very determined man and once he makes up
his mind, it is close to impossible for anyone to change it. However with Cleverly and Welbeck on their way to Goodison Park for a season long loan, along with around ten to fifteen million pounds, the manager might just look at things from another perspective.
According to most experts, at the moment Ferguson holds all the cards for United and if he uses them as tactfully as he has done in the past, then he could just secure the services of two of the most promising youngsters in the game, while re-enforcing his
midfield.
