Manchester United looking to land David De Gea from Atletico Madrid
It is being reported that Manchester United are more than hopeful, to being on the verge of completing the signing of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-de-Gea-c10463 from, Atletico Madrid.
The twenty year old has been linked with a move to Old Trafford for quite some time now, but it seems like he might finally be on his way.
Prior to his news being broken, it was also reported that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Maarten-Stekelenburg-c22998 might be on his way to Old Trafford. The Dutch international went on to reveal how it would be kind of inexplicable for anyone to deny a move to United, but it seems like the Dutch star is going to have to wait his turn to make his move to Old Trafford.
De Gea is being valued in at around seventeen and a half million pounds, which is a fee that can easily be afforded by United. After having won the Premier League crown and previously having stated that they have ample money to spend, the team is sitting on a mini fortune with which to go shopping in the summers.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson had gone on to state that the young Spaniard was the ideal long term replacement for Edwin van der Sar, in the past. However, it seems like the team has gone on to step up their talks with the keeper over the last couple of weeks.
De Gea himself had gone on to state that he would wait till the end of June to decide his fate, but it seems like the Red Devils are looking to land him in the first week of June.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 Gill, when talking about the keeper is reported to have said: “We know the keeper we want and are in a good position, and I’m sure we can get the deal done”
It seemed like a wild guess to see who United would sign to replace Van der Sar, but it now seems like the team has already made their decision. De Gea has proven over the course of his short career that he has what it takes to roll in the big leagues. At the same time, considering that he is still so young, he is bound to flourish under Ferguson and turn into a keeper who can someday achieve the same calibre that Van der Sar achieved at United.
It is now going to be a wait till the end of the month, to see if De Gea is going to be making a move to United, or not.
