Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson marches onwards to 19th Premier League crown
Manchester United’s manager, Alex Ferguson, has gone on to state that he is now planning to take it one game at a time to try and secure Manchester United’s record breaking nineteenth Premier League title.
At the moment United are six points clear at the top of the Premier League table, with both Arsenal and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 level on points in the second spot. Despite having played the same number of games as both their rivals, United are also scheduled to take on
both the Gunners and the Blues before the season comes to a close.
However, before going head to head with those two teams in what could be the title deciding matches of the season, United are scheduled to meet Everton and Ferguson is currently more focused on the game at hand.
When talking about the upcoming game, Ferguson is reported to have said, "If we win, we will only have four games left and we will have a six-point lead. That is the way I am looking at it. I am not looking beyond that."
Despite having a commendable record against Everton, which has seen Ferguson lose only four of the 37 encounters that he has had with the Toffees, the manager is still playing his cards cautiously.
The primary reason is because Everton gave Untied a run for their money in the last encounter that they had with the team in the Premier League. Despite having a three goals to one lead going into injury time, United went on to concede twice in stoppage
time and hence shared points with Everton after the game. What made the draw a lot more interesting was the fact that Everton seemed destined to score a winning goal, but were denied by the referee blowing his whistle to signal the end of the game, despite
the Merseyside club being right near the edge of the United area.
As a result Ferguson had nothing but praises for David Moyes and the work that he had done with the team. In fact, the manager went on to commemorate Moyes prior to his upcoming game and stated, "Everton have done exceptionally well. David Moyes has had
to cope with a mountain of injuries over the last few weeks but they have still churned out the results. It is never going to be easy against Everton. It is a local derby of sorts. But our home record is fantastic and so is our performance level."
Either way, United are expected to go all out when they take on Everton and as a result are being rated as the favourites to win their upcoming game.
