Manchester United arrived in the United States on Monday, July 11 on a three-week tour. The Barclays Premier League champions are scheduled to play the World Football Challenge and the Major League Soccer All-Star match.
The first match of the WFC is scheduled to be staged at Gillette Stadium on July 13 against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/New-England-Revolution-c40026.
The Red Devils manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, is looking ahead to the match, but he is wary of his opposition following the defeat to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sporting-89-c40576 Kansas City last year.
“As we experienced last season and with the rise in United States soccer, we're expecting a difficult game,” Ferguson told the media. “Last season, all of the games were very, very tough. We look forward to it. We hope we do ourselves justice, but most importantly,
we hope that we take a step forward in terms of our fitness, which is one of the reasons why we are here.”
United played against Sporting Kansas City (formerly known as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kansas-City-Wizards-c39666) at Arrowhead Stadium, where more than 50,000 spectators witnessed the Wiz stun the European giants with a final 2-1 score line.

The Revs manager, Steve Nicol, is looking forward to Wednesday’s fixture against one of the most decorated teams in the world. His players will certainly earn invaluable experience from the United match.
Playing against one of the best teams and some of the best players in the world will boost New England squad’s confidence for the rest of the season, the manager believes.
The English side come to the US on the back of a historic season where they won a record 19th league title while also making it to the final of 2010/11 UEFA Champions League.
The Red Devils participate in WFC with a talented squad that boasts the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ashley-Young-c6813 will also be given runs in
the first team.
While the Red Devils might lack match sharpness from the 2010/11 season, having just started their preseason, they will still prove a worthy competitor, according to Nicol.
