Manchester United midfielder Nani believes his team has the psychological edge over Chelsea
Manchester United midfielder, Luis Nani, believes that his team will have psychological advantage in the English Premier League game against Chelsea at the Old Trafford on Sunday, March 8, 2011.
United lead the Blues by three points on top of the league table and the two teams have the same goal difference. The winner of the potential title deciding clash will sit on top of the league table.
The Portuguese winger believes that United’s UEFA Champions League quarter-final victory over the Blues will hand them an advantage coming into the clash. Nani is delighted with his team’s 6-1 aggregate win over Schalke’04 in the semi-final of the Champions League and has urged his teammates to continue with the good work.
The 24-year-old praised his team’s home form this season and believes that it hands his team a clear advantage going into this game; of a possible 51 points, United have captured a breathtaking 49 points when playing at home this season.

But we are at home and we have had good experiences against them. We know if we want to win the game we have to play with confidence. The results against them in the Champions League were very good. I think that gives us the psychological advantage.”
"We just have to concentrate on our football and winning the game. If we do that then everything will be fine.” He concluded.
The former Sporting Lisbon midfielder added that a victory in this game would help them to seal the Premier League title sooner.
United are on course to win a double of the Premier League and UEFA Champions League, as they have setup a dream final against Barcelona in the Champions League. Nani is enjoying the success with the Red Devils and believes that should they manage to win against the Spanish Champions, it would create another fantastic story for the club.
