Manchester United veteran midfielder, Paul Scholes, has claimed that Manchester City is not even United’s real rivals, mentioning City’s failure to even contest for the major titles with United.
Manchester United is currently leading the Barclays Premier League table and Paul Scholes believes that second-placed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 are United’s main rivals.
Scholes said, “When they are fourth or fifth or wherever in the league, I don't think they can be classed as a main rival. Our main rivals are obviously Arsenal and Chelsea. I think City are just a rival because of where they are from, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 is just

Manchester City had a strong start of the season and even came within the touching distance of their city rivals, Manchester United.

The Citizens are now 13 points behind Manchester United and their UEFA Champions League qualification is also in jeopardy. FA Cup is Manchester City’s last hope of winning any silverware in the ongoing 2010-11 season.

Paul Scholes, who has featured in a lot of Manchester derbies, also insisted that as a fan, there could be no match bigger than the Red and Blue derby.
He added, “It was always the game you thought a lot about, the Manchester derby - I don't think there is a bigger game as a fan”.
Manchester United is aiming for a treble this season and would have to end Manchester City’s season long hope of winning some silverware, in order to book a place in the final of the FA Cup.
