Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs impressed by timing of Park Ji-Sung’s goal
Manchester United veteran winger Ryan Giggs has expressed contentment over the timing of Park Ji-Sung’s goal and hailed his team’s overall performance in a win over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 in the UEFA Champions League at Old Trafford.
Ryan Giggs said, “The second goal came at exactly the right time, they had just scored, so us scoring so quickly after they had knocked the stuffing out of them, really.”
The 37-year-old was impressed by the quality of game played by Chelsea but insisted that Manchester United were fully up for the task and deserved to win the tie.
Giggs added, “Chelsea gave us a great game but you're always pleased to get into the semi-finals. We expected them to come at us, they needed to score, we knew we needed to try to score too, to take the pressure of us. I think we deserved it, we played well
down there, had a good game plan and stuck to it and tonight [Tuesday] got a couple of great goals.”
