Manchester United are reported to be planning a summer move for Aston Villa's youngster Ciaran Clark and Blackburn's defender Phil Jones. Sir Alex Ferguson, who recently admitted that his team was lacking quality young players,
is looking to build the team for the future by introducing younger players to the team. With most of the team's quality players nearing their retirement experts are hailing this potential move as a stroke of genius.
Sir Alex Ferguson has been reported to be a long term admirer of both the England under 21's and is hoping that his persuasive powers will be enough to lure the players in. It was initially assumed that the Manager would be bringing
in a number of players in the January transfer window, however Ferguson recently stated to the media that he does not plan on spending any money in the winter break, as he feels his side at the moment is more than capable of launching a strong title challenge.
However while stating that, the Manager went on to add that it was only obvious for him to strengthen his team for the long run and hence he went on to state that there could be a major influx of players in the summers.
Ciaran Clark has proven with his performances recently that he is quite possibly one of the best young talents in the league. Not only can he play rather well as a center back, which happens to be his natural position, he tends
to play outstandingly as a defensive midfielder as well. Despite being only twenty one years old, the player has gone on to become a part of Gerard Hollier's first team, which goes to show just how great his potential is.
Phil Jones on the other hand has been attracting a lot of attention with the performances that he has been putting in, in recent weeks. The 18 year old has been often hailed to be the successor of Rio Ferdinand and Ferguson is
looking to bring in the player to Old Trafford for that exact reason.
With United currently possessing all the funds in the world to land the players, it is safe to say that both Jones and Clark will be Red Devils at the turn of the Premier League season.
