Manchester United players believe that Park Ji-Sung will prove instrumental against the threat of FC http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604’s Lionel Messi. The Red Devils are up against the Catalans in the UEFA Champions League final and the Spanish giants are tipped to be favourites
largely because they have the Argentinean wizard in their ranks.
Many pundits believe that Messi is currently the best player in the world after having yet another fantastic season with the 2011 Spanish La Liga champions – the striker has scored a phenomenal 49 goals in 52 appearances in all competitions.
On the other hand, Park’s teammates believe the 30-year-old has the ability to mark Messi out of the game. The South Korean is known to have brilliant fitness levels and can cover major part of the football pitch with his tireless running.
United defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrice-Evra-c29231 said on Park, "Ji's unbelievable. I think Ji is an example to every player. I think he's one of the most important players in the team because he doesn't stop running, he can run all day.”
In the ongoing 2010/11 season, Park has made 14 English Premier League appearances for the Red Devils and has four goals against his name. The fewer number of appearances for the 30-year-old is largely because of his national team’s participation in the
AFC Asian Cup, 2011.
Joining his teammates in praise for Park, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rio-Ferdinand-c31173 said: "The lads in the changing-room sometimes sit and laugh at the amount of work Ji gets through, because it's just ridiculous. The way he runs and the energy he's got is phenomenal. It's great to
see and have as a part of your team. He's definitely an unsung hero.”
In addition, Park also has the reputation of being a big game player and has come up with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vitalô-c40903 goals for his side in crunch situations. It will be interesting to see Park’s battle with Messi as the Red Devils and Barcelona will lock horns on May 28, 2011
at Wembley stadium, London.
