Manchester United pursuing Fernando Torres transfer
Manchester United, who have had their fair share of striker worries in the past, involving the teams star striker Wayne Rooney, might just be looking to sign another world class striker. The player that the team is looking to sign is none
other than Liverpool's prolific goal machine Fernando Torres.
United are looking to lure the striker out of the struggling Liverpool team and are willing to offer him a place in the United side, that is guaranteed to almost always win some silverware, which is exactly what the Spaniard had in mind,
when he made the leap to the English League.
The offer to play for United is just part of the deal, what’s looking to make the deal even more tempting for the World Cup winner, is the spike in his pay on the new contract at Old Trafford. By offering him as much as a hundred and eighty
thousand pounds per week, which would make the player one of the highest paid players in the world they would surely have a guaranteed interest in the coveted forward.
Liverpool have been performing at an all time low this time around and as a direct result, the teams players have suffered quite tremendously. One of the players who just so happens to have not managed to get his act together this season
is Torres. Torres despite having scored fifty seven goals in seventy six starts, just doesn't seem to be the same player that he was a season or two ago, in fact some experts even claim that if the player doesn't make the jump to another team, he might as
well call it quits. This is why the offer from United, might be just what the player needs to get his act together on a personal level.
Manchester United however, if do seriously plan on landing the player, will have to realize that he won’t come with cheap price tag. He might not have the best form of his life at the moment, but he still has quality that can be measured
by very few players. For that very reason, the player will probably cost the team around fifty to sixty million pounds, which is something that is easily affordable by the Red Devils.
A move for the player might just be what United need which would see their striker worries come to an end. The team has a wide array of strikers however none of them has the experience or quality to prove and be the difference maker that
could see the team win or lose a game, which is something that Torres has done time and time again in the past.
