Jones to be fit for Manchester United but Young set to face two weeks on the sidelines in the English Premier League...
Manchester United’s manager Sir Alex Ferguson has come out and made it clear that Phil Jones will feature for Manchester United in their tie against Wigan Athletic as he is more than likely to be fit to play for the English Premier
League champions despite suffering an injury scare against Fulham in United’s mid-week Premier League commitments.
Sir Alex has been quite vocal in his concerns regarding Jones as at first it was thought that the Englishman will face a lengthy period on the sidelines after clashing with Clint Dempsey in the early minutes of the match at Craven
Cottage. Eventually, Jones had to be substituted after committing a last ditch tackle inside the United penalty are as he was feeling the after effects of his clash with Dempsey.
Sir Alex stated, "We have good news on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Phil-Jones-c29903: he should be okay for Monday, he has some swelling in his jaw but there's no break, no fracture, which is good news. We feared the worst because he lost his vision a bit in that
period when he came back onto the field. Thankfully it's good news.”
Jones’s quick comeback will give boost to Manchester United who already have http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 also revealed that Ashley Young
who got injured whilst playing for United agents Fulham as well will miss the next two weeks of football.
He said, "It's not so good for Ashley Young. We're still waiting on some of the bleeding to go away, which is quite extensive at the moment. It was a sore one so he'll be out for a few weeks. Ashley was tripped as he went into
the next tackle. He wasn't positioned to go into that next tackle – he was half-falling at the time. The second tackle was a hard tackle – not a bad tackle – it was just the way he went into Ashley. He's taken a real clump."
