Manchester United striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Federico-Macheda-c13475 certain to leave Old Trafford in the summer – EPL news
According to the reports in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson, has decided to sell striker Federico Macheda in the summer transfer window.
Macheda was loaned out to Italian club, UC Sampdoria, in the January transfer window but the striker has struggled to make a mark in a six-month stint with the Blucerchiati. Sampdoria are struggling in the relegation zone and with only two matches left to
play in the season, it looks like an uphill battle to confirm their status in the Serie A next season.
Ferguson has announced that he will recall other loanees, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danny-Welbeck-c10233, from their loan spells but has not mentioned anything about Macheda yet.
It is believed that the 19-year-old is not in his plans because the manager has too many strikers at his disposal. The Italian scored two precious goals against Aston Villa and Sunderland two seasons back and helped United to clinch the title.
The player’s agent has also confirmed that he will look elsewhere in the next season if Sampdoria do not make the deal permanent. The agent, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Giovanni-c14985 Bia, will hold talks with United’s officials to pave way for a deal in the summer.
Despite struggling with form in his loan spell with the Italian side, Bia believes that the player has enjoyed his time with the club and he is looking forward to extend his stay at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
He told News of the World: "We are trying to convert Macheda's loan to Sampdoria into a sale, otherwise we'll look elsewhere."
"I don't know what will happen with Macheda next season; I'll have to talk to Manchester United. Staying at Sampdoria could turn out to be a useful experience for him, even if they were playing in Serie B next term. However, it's too early to say at the
minute."
The striker was poached by United’s scouts from Lazio’s youth academy and everyone compared him to Italian legend, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Francesco-Totti-c13940, with his playing style. However, he has struggled to live up to the tag and his attitude problems on the ground have also
come under scrutiny.
