Ashley Young to wait until end of season to discuss future
Ashley Young, the 25-year-old Aston Villa and England winger, revealed he was planning to wait until the summer to hold talks about his future with the club. With only 12 months remaining on his existing contract and heavy interest from stop sides like Manchester

However, Young insisted he would not be discussing his future until the end of the season. Even with the speculation linking him to the various English Premier League sides, Young has remained focused on his football and has been putting in excellent performances
match after match for the Villains. The winger c*m second striker has played an essential role in helping his side avoid the bottom half of the table.
Young said while speaking to reporters, “I've always said that I'm going to speak to the manager (Gerard Houllier) and the chairman (Randy Lerner) in the summer. I'm fully committed to the club and you can see that by the performance I put in against West
Ham on Saturday. I'm just concentrating 100% on my football and we will speak at the end of the season.”
Young arrived at Aston Villa from Watford for a club record fee of £8 million in the January transfer window of 2007. His start with Villa was excellent and it was mainly the reason why he received a call up for the England national team. Into his fifth
season at the club, Young has made 183 appearances and has scored 37 goals, providing 54 assists.
Aston Villa are currently at ninth place on the Premier League with 40 points from 33 games, they moved into the top half of the table after a brilliant performance in their last three fixtures. They have a chance to improve their standings further with
five games remaining in the Premier League. Villa host Stoke City over the weekend before travelling to West Bromwich Albion next weekend.
Stephen Ireland to play against Manchester United

after picked up a thigh strain, which has kept him out of action since his arrival at St. James’ Park.
However, he seems to have recovered and with his continued improvement in training, Newcastle boss Alan Pardew believes it’s time for Ireland to make an appearance. Pardew has given the Aston Villa midfielder added incentive, a more permanent move to Newcastle,
if he managed to impress the club in the last six games of the Premier League.
Pardew confirmed Ireland would be making an appearance against Premier League leaders Manchester United, he said while speaking to reporters, “Stephen Ireland will be involved in this game and that's a big bonus because we have been waiting a long time for
Stephen. His quality will help us in the last six games for sure. Technical quality - that's what he brings.”
It is still not certain how much of a role Ireland is expected to play against Manchester United, but Pardew has confirmed his involvement. The Irish footballer will be taking the field against the league leaders after being sidelined for two and a half
months.
