Manchester United have gone on to thank http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 to come forth and apologize on behalf of Luis Suarez, due to the way the player behaved during the two teams Premier League clash.
Luis Suarez returned from an eight game ban recently, following some racial slurs that he threw at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrice-Evra-c29231 earlier in the season.
The Uruguayan striker was part of the Liverpool starting eleven that took on Manchester United this past weekend and hence, he was part of the player who were supposed to shake hands with the United players.
During the pre-game handshakes, Evra extended his hand in order to forget what was in the players past, but Suarez decided to walk right past him.
This went on to infuriate Evra and later http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rio-Ferdinand-c31173 refused to shake Suarez’s hand as well.
Nonetheless, following the conclusion of the game, Suarez came forth and revealed that he had talked to Kenny Dalglish and felt really sorry for the way that he behaved.
He also admitted that he wanted the incidents between the two players to be left in the past, as he wished for everyone to move on.
Apart from Suarez, Liverpool and Kenny Dalglish also went on to issue statements which apologized to United and Evra on behalf of the way the Uruguayan striker behaved.
The Red Devils seem to be overwhelmed with the way the Reds handled the situation and have gone on to thank the team for doing so.
A statement which was released by Manchester United, in order for them to thank Liverpool is quoted to have said: "Manchester United thanks Liverpool for the apologies issued following Saturday's game.”
"Everyone at Old Trafford wants to move on from this. The history of our two great clubs is one of success and rivalry unparalleled in British football.”
"That should be the focus in the future of all those who love the clubs."
Despite Liverpool and Suarez apologizing for the way the striker behaved, many wonder why the club and the player didn’t decide to issue such a statement when the incident has initially occurred.
Nonetheless, Suarez is more than likely to feel the wrath of Kenny Dalglish in the near future, as the striker went on to mislead the manager.
Suarez had Dalglish believed that he would shake Evra’s hand before the game, but decided to change his mind at the very last minute.
As a result, the player might even go on and face a disciplinary fine by the Reds, but it is going to be a wait to see just what happens to the striker at Anfield.
