Manchester United manager has gone on to shrug off the rumours, which stated that Wayne Rooney might end up replacing Paul Scholes in the United midfield.
Following United’s inability to find a decent heir to Schole’s throne at the club, it was believed that the manager might look for a solution within. At the same time, considering the way that Rooney’s passing ability has improved over the course of the
last few years, it was assumed that he would be the ideal replacement for Scholes.
However, it seems like there is close to no possibility of that happening, as Ferguson has himself gone on to rule out the possibility of that ever happening.
What added fuel to the fire, was the fact that Paul Scholes himself stated that Rooney could be a suitable replacement for him.
Nonetheless, Ferguson went on to clarify all of these rumours and is quoted to have said:
"Scholesy is being very generous there"
"He's underestimating himself and the value he had to us. Wayne could play centre midfield, but not the way that Scholesy played it. They're too different.?

"Scholes was more calculated. He always had that control about him, controlling the speed and pace of a game, which is pretty difficult to do. He was an absolute one-off."
Ferguson then went on to add that the midfielder was one of a kind and that it was impossible to ever replace him at the club.
At the moment, United are being linked with the trio of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luka-Modric-c22857. However, based on recent developments at all those clubs, it seems highly unlikely that they are going to making their way to Old Trafford.
As a result, United might just have to end up resorting to the talent that they currently possess. With the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Darren-Fletcher-c10361 amongst their ranks, they possess a midfield, that if anything is half decent. The players
aren't really experianced and also don't possess the cutting edge that United are used to.
Nonetheless, that being said even Ferguson himself would be aware of the fact that if he wishes to win anything next season, he is going to have to boost his midfield.
As a result, it is now going to be a wait to see just what players the manager decides to make moves for in the transfer window, over the course of the coming weeks. Considering the team really needs some reinformcnets in the middle, players might arrive
sooner rather than later at the club.
