Manchester United manager, Alex Ferguson has dismissed all the rumours linking the Red Devils with a move for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 and Chelsea midfielder, Frank Lampard.
This season, United have gone on to suffer in the middle of the pitch, as the team has looked to be without quality midfielders for the most part.
On a number of occasions, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wayne-Rooney-c36736 has had to drop back into the midfield, in hopes of trying to fill the void that has been created in the team.
However, with United in desperate need of midfielders, a rumour has started floating about, which claimed the Red Devils were looking to make a move for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786’s Frank Lampard.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson, who has now become aware of this rumour, has gone on to rubbish it, as he has stated there is no chance of the move ever taking place.
When talking about Frank Lampard and the chances of his coming to Old Trafford, the United boss is quoted to have said: "Do you really think Chelsea would sell to United in January? There's no foundation in that.”

"Chelsea want to do something in the second half of the season so they want to keep their best players."
The manager then went on to elaborate on his plans for January, as he indicated he might not be making any signings, mainly because the quality of the players up for sale, just isn’t good enough.
"What can you get in January? The players we'd like, we can't get"
"If the alternative is to sign a second-rate player, we don't want to do that.”
United have had a number of injuries to their key players this season and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nemanja-Vidic-c27550 is set to miss out the whole season and some of the coming season as well.
Ferguson believes there is nothing really wrong with his team and it is only a matter of getting everyone fit again.
All in all, Ferguson is well aware of the situation at his club and the manager has most probably already decided what he wants to do with the team in the near future.
It is now a wait to see the United legend unravel his plans over the course of the coming months.
