Manchester United winger Nani wants more freedom from Sir Alex Ferguson
Manchester United winger and Portuguese international, Nani, has revealed that he fully understands his role in United’s rank but also believes that he is not at freedom completely. The 24-year-old admitted his importance at the club but demanded more freedom from his manager, Sir Alex Ferguson.
He mentioned that, it’s his manager who has stopped him from using as many tricks as he possesses and focus on the team’s success. The winger stressed, that he would like to add an extra element to his game in the form of tricks and skills.

But something of the street remains in me. It is not easy to show at United because Sir Alex does not allow very much freedom and I cannot do the tricks and things I did with my friends.”
The United winger claimed that, he has some passion remaining in him that still dwells with in him from the days while playing street soccer and he would dearly like to apply them on the football field. He said that, Sir Alex does not allow him that freedom to use those sort of tricks and believes that, it could add another dimension to his game which could make him a more successful player. In addition to this, United would also be helped a great deal by his abilities.
Nani claimed that he uses his tricks whenever he believes the game is under control and United can not lose from that point. He mentioned that, he sometimes goes against the words of his manager but the manager do not always necessarily like him to go against his ruling. He further added that, "But when the game is under control I take a risk and it makes me very happy if things work out."
Nani joined Manchester United in 2007 from Sporting CP and since then, has appeared one hundred and forty two times for the club in all competitions. He has twenty seven goals to go along with his appearances.
