Manchester United wouldn't have beaten Chelsea: http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360
Arsenal’s in-form midfielder Samir Nasri claims that title rivals Manchester United would not have won against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 last weekend, if their game had not been called off.
Most of the Barclays Premier League matches over the weekend were called off due to adverse weather conditions. Only four teams – Sunderland, Bolton, Blackburn and West Ham United – managed to complete their matches.
Manchester United are the only unbeaten team in the Premier League, while Chelsea are going through a bit of a rough patch, but Samir Nasri believes that Sir Alex Ferguson’s team would have struggled against the defending champions Chelsea.
United are currently leading the table, and are two points clear at the top with a game in hand. Nasri However believes that Arsenal can catch up and overtake United, since Nasri reckons that the Red Devils will face a stern test against Blackpool and Chelsea
in their rescheduled matches.
Nasri, who has scored eight goals so far this season, said that the Premier League title is within Arsenal reach as they are only two points behind Manchester United. The Frenchman said,
“For a start, United were supposed to play against Chelsea and I couldn't see them winning that. I also think their game in hand isn't a foregone conclusion because winning at Blackpool is not easy. We'll see how we cope with all the matches over Christmas
and we will get a clearer idea after that - but I'm full of confidence."
Arsene Wenger signed Nasri in 2008 from French side Marseille. The 23-year-old has been in tremendous form this season, and has been Arsenal’s best player so far this term.
The Gunners were drawn against Spanish Giants Barcelona in the knockout stages in the UEFA Champions League. Barcelona ended Arsenal’s Champions League campaign last season at the quarter-final stage.
Samir Nasri was a part of the team which was beaten by Barcelona 4-1 at the Nou Camp. The French star is confident ahead of the game against Barcelona, and said, "We had a few players missing from the return leg last season and I think that if we're injury
free and we play without fear, then we'll have our chances. Whether at home or away, they play their own way and impose their style on the opposition and that's something I respect enormously."
Arsenal is currently placed second in the table, level on points with Manchester City, but the Gunners have a game in hand. Arsenal’s last match against Stoke City at the Emirates Stadium was called off due to adverse weather conditions. Arsenal play their
next match against fourth placed London rivals Chelsea.
