Manchester United youngster ‘Kiko’ Macheda targets Wayne Rooney and turns down Lazio
Manchester United's young striker Federico Macheda has gone on to label his team mate Wayne Rooney “working Class and vulgar”
The young Italian striker, who is part of Italy's under-21 side and tends to make the odd appearance for Manchester United, recently took part in an interview, where he was caught saying, "Rooney is a really great person,
he always gives me advice, but he's a bit working class and vulgar."
However the player didn't quite specify if he has felt that way about Rooney ever since he joined the club, or if those feeling just recently came into the picture. Rooney has been going through a tough time in his life lately,
but most people would assume it is impossible to label someone so boldly on such a short notice.
What could have happened here is that the Italian's words could have been misinterpreted to an extent. He couldn't necessarily be calling him working class to look down upon him. He could have made those comments to tell
everyone that Rooney was just like every common city dweller and hasn't let the success that he has had with United go to his head. Nonetheless, Rooney being vulgar is something everyone is well aware of - if someone fails to agree with that fact all they
really need to do is watch Rooney talking to a referee after he feels a decision has been given against him. However it is pretty bold of Macheda to come out and make such strong claims about the team's first choice striker and this is bound to lead to some
locker room mix ups in the near future.
Macheda however later on went to distance himself with a possible move to Italian side Lazio. The player said, "I want to improve in Manchester, when I'm more mature I'll be able to make choices.”
"The rumours about Lazio please me but I don't think I will go."
It might have originally been a smart move on the player’s part to turn down Lazio, considering it kind of doesn't get better than Manchester United for any player. That being said he would probably have to reconsider his
thoughts about a move away, if his initial comments about his Wayne Rooney cause some dressing room furore. Nonetheless Macheda is great young player, with a lot to offer to whatever team he is a part of in the future.
