Manchester United’s Michael Carrick expecting a unique Manchester derby in the FA Cup
Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick has claimed that the encounter between United and Manchester City in the semi-final of the FA cup will be a "different type of derby". Carrick admitted that clashes between the two rivals in the Premier League
have been boring at times, but he believes that their FA cup meeting promises to be an exhilarating contest.

the of the current members of the United squad can claim to have lifted the prestigious trophy.

He added, “There are a lot of players at United who have not won the FA Cup and that is something we want to put right."
However, Manchester United will have to overcome their bitter city rivals in the semi-final if they want to have a shot at lifting the title this season. Though the Red Devils have had the upper hand over City of late, Carrick is aware that the lure of silverware
will bring out the best in the opposition on Sunday.
He said, “Both teams will be going for it. I don't think it will be like the normal league games, which have been a bit boring at times. This will be different. I am sure it is going to be an entertaining match."
Manchester City and Manchester United will face each other in the semi-final at Wembley on Sunday, 17th April.
