Manchester United’s Michael Owen praises Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger: EPL news

Manchester United’s rarely seen striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international’s comments come just before his side travels to the Emirates Stadium to face off against the Gunners in a vital Barclays Premier League encounter.
With just four games of the season remaining, Arsene Wenger and his charges are staring down the barrel of a sixth successive trophyless campaign. It’s amazing, especially since the Gunners were in with a chance of winning the quadruple this season. However, a string of terrible results saw them crash out of three cup competitions in the space of two weeks. After that dismal spell, Arsenal were left with only the Premier League title to aim for.
Once again though, Wenger’s men have stumbled at the finish line. Having secured just two points from their last three games, Arsenal are well and truly out of the title race. The blame for the Gunners’ barren run has been placed squarely on the shoulders of manager Arsene Wenger, something that Manchester United striker Michael Owen does not agree with.
Speaking on the Frenchman’s impact during his time with Arsenal, Owen said, “Arsene Wenger is one of the best managers to have ever managed in the Premier League. He has turned the club around and done fantastically well over the years.”
For all his hard work though, Wenger has still been unable to match the success of United boss, Sir Alex Ferguson. Owen believes that while Arsene Wenger is undoubtedly one of the best managers in the business, he cannot hold a candle to the tactical acumen of the legendary Ferguson.
The striker added, “It just highlights what our manager has done. The success he has had here in such a fiercely competitive business such as this is amazing."
Manchester United currently sit at the summit of the Premier League standings with 73 points. Meanwhile, Arsenal are in third place, nine points behind the Red Devils.
