Manchester United’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Park-Ji-Sung-c29147 wants to create the ‘perfect’ Champions League final
Manchester United midfielder, Park Ji-sung has claimed that it would be a ‘dream come true’ if he were able to help the Red Devils lift the UEFA Champions League trophy by defeating http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 on the May 28.
Park Ji-sung was left on the bench for Manchester United’s 2008 Champions League triumph against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, but he did feature in the 2-0 defeat to Barcelona the following year. The two teams are set to meet again on the Saturday, May
28, to compete the 2011 Champions League final, and once again, Park figures heavily in Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson’s plans.
The South Korea International is eagerly anticipating his participation in the upcoming encounter. However, he insists that he is not out for revenge. Speaking ahead of the final, the midfielder said, “Missing out on one final and losing another makes me
more eager to play and win this game - against which team it doesn't matter. If I play and we win the game it will be fantastic for me. It is my dream but I have to play 100% for my dreams to come true.”
He added, "Obviously Barcelona are one of the best clubs in the world so if we beat them we will create the perfect final - for me as well.”
Park revealed that he is still haunted by United’s defeat to Barcelona two years ago, and he claims that the Red Devils must learn from their mistakes in order to stand a chance of overcoming the Spanish giants this time around.
The United man continued, “They have changed a couple of players from 2009 but their style has not changed. I don't know what way we will play but we have to show a difference from 2009. If we play as a team like we showed against Chelsea [in their victorious
title showdown at Old Trafford earlier this month] or in other big games we can match up against them.”
A Champions League title would be the icing on Manchester United’s cake, having recently secured their record-breaking 19th Premier League crown.
